Run club group races with a live leaderboard

Last updated October 3, 2026

Your Saturday long run, your monthly 5K, your office fun run: create a group race in HypeLap and everyone shows up on one live track. Runners start when they start, the ranking is by distance from each runner's own start, and anyone not running can watch and cheer from their couch.

Start a group race in a minute

Create a group race, pick a distance, and send the invite link to your club chat. Members join in the app, and everyone who is not running can open the same link on any phone.

  • 5K, 10K, half, marathon or a custom distance
  • No timing chips, no organizer sign-up
  • Fair for staggered starts, pace groups and different waves
  • Podium, splits and a recap after the run

Why run clubs like it

Club runs are social, and a lot of the fun is who is just ahead of you. HypeLap puts that on screen without a map or a spreadsheet, and keeps the people who could not make it in the loop with cheers they can send live.

Looking for a run club near you?

HypeLap is not a directory of clubs. Running specialty stores, parks departments and local race calendars are the best places to find one, and most clubs welcome newcomers at an easy pace. Once you have a crew, HypeLap is how you race each other and cheer each other on.

Houston clubs: we want to meet you

We are launching in Houston with local run clubs first. If you lead a club or group, tell us and we will set up your first group race with you.

See it as your friends would. Watch the demo race, no sign-up needed. HypeLap is launching in Houston first. Get early access:

Questions

Does everyone have to start at the same time?

No. Rankings use distance from each runner's own start, so staggered starts and different pace groups stay fair.

Do spectators need the app?

No. They open the link in a browser and can watch and cheer for free.

How many people can join a group race?

Groups are meant for clubs and offices. Tell us your size when you reach out and we will make sure it runs well.

What does it cost?

Watching is free. Runners get a 7-day trial, then Runner Pro at $39.99 a year, with unlimited group races included. Launch pricing may change before release.
