A Strava alternative for race day
Last updated October 3, 2026
Strava is great at logging runs and following your training. HypeLap does one thing differently: it is built for the day of the race, when your friends want to watch you live and you want to hear them. Most runners use both.
What HypeLap does that a run log doesn't
A run log tells your friends how you did after you finish. HypeLap lets them be part of it while it happens, with a live ranking, a track instead of a map, and cheers that play in your earbuds.
- Friends watch live from any phone with no account
- Air horns, cowbells and 15-second voice notes in your ears
- Kart-style ranking against others at the same race, fair across start waves
- Live ranking on your Lock Screen and from your Apple Watch

Use them together
HypeLap saves your race to Apple Health as a workout with its route, so you can keep your training history wherever you already keep it. Use Strava for the weeks of training, and HypeLap for the morning your people want to cheer you across the line.
Questions
Does HypeLap replace Strava?
No. It is built for race day rather than daily training logs. Your race saves to Apple Health, so it can sit alongside whatever you use to track training.
Can my family watch me without making an account?
Yes. Friends open your link in a browser. No download and no sign-up.
Why is there no map?
Privacy. Friends see how your race is going without seeing exactly where you are.
Is HypeLap available now?
HypeLap is launching in Houston first with local run clubs. Join the list on the home page or try the demo race to see what your friends will see.
